- STRETCHING Workshop of TALENTS,(The doctoral rift science network for the energy transition)

The second workshop took place in Florence, Italy, from May 11 to 18, 2025.

During the workshop, we held a mid-term meeting with our EU project officer, Apostolos Paralikas. All project members, including industry and media partners, were present to discuss the project's progress and future development. Shortly after the workshop, students participated in three short courses and attended a field trip to the Larderello geothermal area near Volterra.

- ACTIVE Workshop of TALENTS,(The doctoral rift science network for the energy transition)

The first workshop of TALENTS took place in Athens (Greece) between September 23rd and October 4th 2024. It covered three short courses (Sept. 23-27), a meeting of the PI´s on the weekend (Sept. 28-29), and a field trip to the Gulf of Corinth Rift (Sept. 30-Oct. 4). The workshop brought together almost all the supervisors in attendance, all the newly selected PhD students, as well as the external Advisory board members in attendance and online to discuss the next steps of the Project. 

- Kick-off meeting of TALENTS,(The doctoral rift science network for the energy transition)

On January 30th and 31st, 2024, the first meeting of the European doctoral network Horizon MSCA TALENTS took place at the Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum - GFZ - Potsdam. The PIs presented their research projects, and the group discussed important administrative and organizational next steps. We had an overview of the main rules of the MSCA PhD networks and the presentation of our EU project officer.
During the event, we started the organization of the first workshop and field trip in Greece, as well as the second workshop and field trip in Italy.
