The network Beneficiaries and Partners are all global leaders in complementary aspects of rift-related research, and together can cross multiple processes and scales to train DR by education and interaction , solve new research problems, and transfer this knowledge to industry and society. Their expertise, experience and facilities will contribute to research as follows :

1) Complementary research techniques for addressing rift processes and green reservoir characterization:

- Field-based structural geology , petrology and geochemistry, and fluid analyses; Interpretations of seismic reflection data, potential field data and modelling, analyses of geodetic data, and seismicity data; High-temperature/high-pressure rock deformation and mechanical experiments; Analogue and numerical modelling experiments; Analysis of erosional and depositional processes.

2) Complementary analytic, experimental and computational facilities for all research techniques are hosted in-house at Beneficiaries and Partners and will as much as possible be available to the DR (Doctoral researcher):

- Laboratories for geochemical analyses, geochronology, and XRF; Software and computational facilities for interpretation of seismic and potential field data, geodetic data and seismicity data; Microstructural analyses and rock deformation laboratories; Analogue laboratory, software and computational clusters for finite-element and plate tectonic modelling.
