TALENTS will offer an international, interdisciplinary training platform for DCs to develop the scientific knowledge required to assess the formation, evolution, low carbon resource potential and geohazards of rifts. By forming an integral part of a network of experienced researchers from academia and industry, the DCs will be exposed to cutting-edge methodologies from diverse disciplines of Earth Sciences. This will provide DCs with a solid basis for answering their scientific questions, and developing skills essential for building their future careers as geoscientists with an awareness of their societal responsibilities. 

Our proposed schedule thus comprises periods of largely uninterrupted research, interspersed with blocks that combine workshops, short courses and field courses.
